"Being a graffiti writer is taking the chances and shit, taking the risks." Mixtape: First Thursday FILM BREAK IN THE GARDEN Thursday, August 6 at @chryslermuseum. Step out under the stars for the new restoration of @twincharlie and @fab5freddy's WILD STYLE (1983), an on-the-ground view of the underground art movement that claimed a struggling city as its own, and featuring the real graffiti writers, rappers, dance crews, and art freaks who made it happen. Joining us will be @beesusthedj, slinging records from @freshtopiava and setting the mood with a throwback block party set before the film. Screening begins at sundown, around 8:30. In case of rain, we'll be moving inside Kaufman Theater.
