Episode 3 of Everyday Places with Aly 🩷 Some stories stay with you long after the conversation ends. This week, I had the privilege of meeting Bridget Knapp, whose daughter, Ava, died from depression. In the midst of unimaginable grief, Bridget found a way to honor Ava’s life by creating Grief Stricken Kitchen. Today, she bakes nearly 1,000 cookies each week in Ava’s memory and shares her family’s story with students, reminding them that hope is real, asking for help is courageous, and no one has to face life’s hardest moments alone. One thing Bridget shared that has stayed with me is that purpose can grow from even our deepest pain. By sharing her story, she’s helping others feel seen, understood, and connected, while continuing to honor her daughter every single day. I hope this conversation reminds you of the power of reaching out, listening without judgment, and showing up for one another. Because healing begins with connection, and meaningful conversations can happen anywhere. Until next time, be the ONE for someone 🩷
