Heartbroken after 22 years @dc101radio , I was informed on Monday that I was terminated. I was stunned to say the least. Shock was replaced by confusion then sadness. My plan was to work at DC101 for for another 3 years and then explore transition options within the company. I dreamed of having a farewell period on the station celebrating my time there and the station's amazing track record of longevity with their on air personalities. @melissamollet would do a puff piece on @nbcwashington about me and the company that treats their employees like family. I would pick one last kickass #PearlJam song, yell DOO DOO TIIIIIIIIME SPECTACULAR one last time and ride off into the sunset. @iheartradio had other plans. So there will be none of that. Just a two minute conversation and an escort to the elevator. 👋🏾✌🏾 It's not for me to say whether I deserved better. You get what you get. What else did I get? I got 22 years at the best radio station in the country. I got to live in one of the best places in the world. I got experiences that few others could have. I got a wife and two sons. I got incredible colleagues like Jonesy, Whitney, Elliot, Diane, Tyler, Flounder, and more. I got mentors that would be the envy of any profession like James Howerd, Mike Killabrew, Dave Hennessy, Buddy Rizer, Hartley Adkins, Jeff Kapugi, Thea Mitchem, and others. I got countless relationships with excellent and hardworking people behind the scenes and on the air at other iHeart stations here in DC. I got to have fun almost every damn day. I got to make my mom proud. I got you. You let me be the best version of myself on air for 22 years. You allowed me to sit next to you on your ride home and be a knucklehead. You tracked Sebrings with me. You played WaterWars with me. You put up with an unhealthy love of the song "Linger" and the band Pearl Jam. You educated me on Judaism during the Jew
