I did a leadership session with sixth, seventh and eighth graders. Twelve kids, all from different schools. I gave them one prompt: what is the one issue you would want to solve? They came back and said the communication between students and teachers. Not the lunch menu. Not the schedule. How we talk to each other. Even at that age, they get it.
