Sharing the news on air that my hero, Dolly Parton, had passed away was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done in my career. I felt this huge responsibility to somehow find the right words and do her justice. The entire day, I swear there was a guardian angel just putting the words in my mouth. (I’m assuming she has big blonde hair and a bubbly personality) I thought about recording a video after my show about what Dolly meant to me, and to the world, but I realized I don’t think I could say it any differently than I did on WSB-TV. And I KNOW I couldn’t do it again without crying. So instead, I just wanted to share these clips.
