“Thank you Quincy for the music, the education, opening those doors for all those talented musicians, for taking the time to speak with me at 6 to remind me of the importance of being born on the first MLK holiday, for taking the time decades later to invite #QuestloveSupreme in your home and again THE MUSIC! The last photo is a shot my dad @ronstclairphotos took of Quincy at a celebration of #CountBasie . The photo is of Q and Sarah Basie. I showed this to Quincy the last time we were together and he got emotional. Looking at this photo feels different now. Now Quincy will be welcomed by Sarah, Count and so many of his friends that have long gone before him. This brought me joy 🥰 and i hope it does the same for you. Imagine the welcoming party!!! 🥹. So my prayers go out to the friends and family he left behind. However I celebrate this amazing life today and the amazing homecoming that will welcome him in the heavens 🙏🏽 Give Ray our love!!!” - @laiyasworld #Quincy
