It is possible to grow on social in 2026 without having a niche, without selling anything, and without offering freebies in your bio. I’m not against any of those strategies, to be clear, but they don’t make sense for my content. I’m Aly, a 34-year-old, morning radio host in Michigan. Social media is a non-negotiable for work, but I don’t have a team. It’s all on me, and to be honest, I do most of my content after my workday. It’s been ✨a journey✨ but here are three things that have moved the needle for my account: 1. Introduction posts. About once a month I re-introduce myself in a carousel or a reel. 2. Trial reels. The best way to get a bunch of new eyes on your stuff. Trial reels are only pushed out to non-followers. 3. Here’s the scary one: I go live. Yes, LIVE, is still a feature. Yes, people still watch. This is where I see the biggest conversion with follower count. Seriously. Heads up: This is a trial reel so this won’t be on my main feed, so you might wanna save!
